Observatory Cottages - Mount Dandenong

Situated at the summit of Mount Dandenong, Observatory Cottages is one of the Original Bed and Breakfast Establishments of the Dandenong Ranges.



Only 45 minutes from the city of Melbourne we have four spacious yet cozy cottages to choose from. Each cottage has its own unique character. Owls Croft, Windsong, Ironbark and Candlewick, are names remembered by the many guests that have come our way repeatedly over the many years. With stunning views of Port Phillip Bay and the surrounding Suburbs at Observatory Cottages, you feel as though you can touch the stars. Always looking for ways to improve your stay yet keeping with the feel of yesteryear we take great pride and pleasure from seeing our guests return over and over again.

So close to the stars yet so close to everything Observatory Cottages has all you need. Only a short stroll to Melbourne's famous Sky High restaurant, and gift shop. And only a 5 minute drive to some of the best restaurants and craft shops the Dandenong Ranges has to offer.

Sit by your log fire and watch the mist roll in or sip a port whilst reading your favourite book. Observatory Cottages is the place to get away from it all.



Each cottage offers large double spa, real log fires, four poster beds with canopies reverse cycle heating/air conditioning, TV, DVD/CD player fully equipped kitchen with coffee machines generously stocked with hot and cold breakfast provisions quality linen, toiletries and bathrobes and much more.

To make your stay even more enjoyable port, bath salts and slippers are all complementary.

Check-in at reception is from 4:00pm onwards. Earlier check in by appointment only & will occur extra cost of $20 per hr. Later arrivals please contact reception on 03 9751 2436 to notify estimated arrival time .Check-out 12.00 noon
